Jay P. Schiesser

Principal

Mr. Schiesser has specialized in commercial real estate investment advisory and capital markets for over 20 years. As a Principal of JP Partners, Mr. Schiesser has worked on diverse transactions with major assets types including multifamily, industrial, office, retail, hospitality and for-sale residential as well as special use assets including infrastructure, self-storage, parking, healthcare, restaurants, golf courses, marinas and automotive retail. Mr. Schiesser has executed over $3.5 billion of transactions including acquisitions, dispositions and finance.

Prior to founding JP Partners, Mr. Schiesser was an original member and partner of Patriot Capital, a boutique real estate investment banking firm. Mr. Schiesser originated, negotiated and closed over $1.2 billion in transactions. Mr. Schiesser was also a member of Credit Suisse First Boston in the Investment Banking Division.

Prior to CSFB, Mr. Schiesser was a member of Fitch Ratings in the CMBS Group. Mr. Schiesser’s primary responsibilities included derivation of CMBS bond subordination levels for floating and fixed-rate transactions. Mr. Schiesser was a member of KPMG LLP in the Valuation Group. He was responsible for advisory and valuation of real estate, M&E and intangible assets for corporate transactions and taxation.

Mr. Schiesser earned a Master of Science in Real Estate Law from John Marshall Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Commerce College.

Matthew L. Williams

Principal

Mr. Williams has a history in Real Estate Advisory including over 16 years experience in equity, debt placement and asset management. As a Principal of JP Partners, Mr. Williams has worked on transactions in diverse industries with major assets types including industrial, office, retail, hospitality and residential as well as special use assets types including golf courses, marinas, self-storage, healthcare, restaurants and automotive. Mr. Williams has significant asset management and transaction syndication experience which he leverages to assist clients in thorough underwriting and successful execution. Mr. Williams has restructured over $150MM in sub-performing, real estate debt acquisitions for the firm’s private equity clients.

Prior to joining JP Partners Mr. Williams was a Senior Financial Analyst for the Laramar Group, a real estate private equity firm that specialized in the acquisition and of multifamily real estate and distressed debt. During his tenure, he was directly involved with the sourcing, investment analysis, due diligence and acquisition of $135MM in assets, and the management of the $350MM portfolio. Prior to the Laramar Group, Mr. Williams worked for Inland Real Estate where he was responsible for syndicating real estate for 1031 tax deferred exchanges. His duties included the financial analysis of potential acquisitions, coordinating the due diligence process, structuring real estate syndications, and the asset management of acquired retail and office properties.

Mr. Williams earned a Masters Degree in Real Estate from University of Illinois, Chicago’s Liautaud Graduate School of Business and graduated from Kenyon College with degrees in Art History and Political Science.

Matt McClellan

Vice President

Mr. McClellan possesses north of eleven years of career experience in the Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets. Mr. McClellan's experience includes underwriting and executing Debt & Equity Capital for all major commercial real estate asset classes including specialty asset classes such as Self-Storage, Marinas, Cold Storage and Life Science portfolios. Mr. McClellan has worked solely in the Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets for the entirety of his career beginning as an Intern Analyst. He is equally vetted in arranging Debt & Equity Capital solutions for Developers, Owner-Operators, Private Equity Firms, REITS, and Hedge Funds. Mr. McClellan has been a key participant in various Debt & Equity transactions that have been featured in various public media & prints such as The Wall Street Journal, Crain's Business, and Bloomberg. Mr. McClellan has transacted in most Major US Metro Markets, including Mexico and the Caribbean. 

Mr. McClellan started his career working for a niche Capital Advisory Firm that specialized in raising equity and debt for Self-Storage Owners and Investors nationwide preceding the asset class becoming an institutional property type. He also experienced and was highly active transacting with the influx of Institutional Capital entering the industry. Matt's experience includes working for several other boutique firms specializing in the Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets on a National Level. 

Mr. McClellan earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Accounting from DePaul University in Chicago.

Allan G. Crimer

Vice President

Mr. Crimer has diverse commercial estate experience ranging from full-cycle underwriting, due diligence, and investment thesis for all real estate investment strategies, to directing a 5.5 million SF portfolio of a mixed-commercial real estate assets in the Midwest and East Coast markets, and separately directing a 2 million SF retail portfolio located on the West Coast. Mr. Crimer has managed closing transactions from the capital markets broker perspective, the GP position and LP perspective. He has managed assets and investor relations from both the GP and LP side, working for private equity companies, public and private REITs. His background and relationships allow him to direct a portfolio, source off-market investments and he has the equity and debt capital relationships necessary to capitalize complex real estate investments. As a Chicago native, Mr. Crimer has also spent a combined 4 years split between Austin, TX and Los Angeles, California, learning firsthand other commercial real estate markets outside of the Chicago area.

Mr. Crimer started his career in hedge fund accounting, reporting and investor relations for international hedge funds and international investors. He has a true passion for all things real estate related and made the career switch to real estate in 2011. Mr. Crimer’s diverse experience has been focused on various commercial real estate strategies and platforms of acquisitions, asset management, capital markets, and development.

Mr. Crimer earned a Master of Science in Real Estate from Roosevelt’s Real Estate program and graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Finance.
